These terms cover your use of the CruiseWatch Android app, the CruiseWatch Wear OS companion app, and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
CruiseWatch is developed and operated by an independent individual developer, not a company or agency, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Carnival, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, or any other cruise line. References to a cruise line's name, policy, or contact information are for identification and informational purposes only.
CruiseWatch tracks the publicly posted fare for a cruise you tell it you've already booked, and notifies you when that public fare drops below what you recorded paying. Where available, it shows a summary of the relevant cruise line's own publicly stated price-drop, refund, onboard-credit, or upgrade policy, along with suggested next steps (such as a phone number or claim script) for contacting that cruise line yourself.
CruiseWatch does not book cruises, does not process payments, does not file claims on your behalf, and does not guarantee any refund, credit, or upgrade. Whether you receive anything back is decided solely by your cruise line under its own policy, which can change at any time without notice to us. Always confirm current terms directly with your cruise line before relying on anything shown in the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use CruiseWatch. Some features require an account, created via email and password or Google Sign-In (through Firebase Authentication). You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
Fare and policy information in the app is gathered from each cruise line's own public website on a recurring schedule (roughly every few hours) and is provided for reference only. Prices, availability, and policy terms change frequently and without notice, and cruise lines occasionally change their site layout in ways that can cause a fare check to fail or return stale data. CruiseWatch makes no guarantee that any price, policy summary, deadline, or contact detail shown in the app is current, complete, or accurate. Do not make a financial decision, and do not let a claim deadline pass, based solely on what the app shows — verify directly with your cruise line.
The optional AI chat assistant is a language model that runs entirely on your device and generates its responses automatically, without human review. Its answers are meant as a general starting point for how to approach a refund or credit claim — they are not legal, financial, or professional advice, are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete, and may occasionally be wrong, out of date, or inconsistent with your cruise line's actual policy. Always verify anything the assistant tells you directly with your cruise line before acting on it. Your questions and its answers are processed locally and are never sent to CruiseWatch, Google, or any third party — see the Privacy Policy for details.
The app's interface can be translated into a language you choose, using on-device machine translation (Google ML Kit). Machine translation is not always perfect and may occasionally render a label or message imprecisely; if anything reads unclearly, switch back to English or refer to the English text for the authoritative meaning.
The phone app is supported by banner and interstitial ads served through Google AdMob, which keeps CruiseWatch free to use. The Wear OS companion app does not show ads. See the Privacy Policy for what data AdMob may collect.

The CruiseWatch app, website, and their content (excluding cruise-line-owned names, logos, and policy text, which remain the property of their respective cruise lines) are owned by the developer. You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on your own devices for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms.
The Service relies on third-party services — including Google Firebase, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, Google AdMob, Google Sign-In, and Google ML Kit — and links to or references cruise line websites and phone numbers we don't control. We aren't responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of any third-party service or cruise line, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any fare check, notification, policy summary, or AI assistant response will be timely, accurate, or reliable.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR A REFUND/CREDIT OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE — INCLUDING A MISSED PRICE DROP, A MISSED CLAIM DEADLINE, OR AN INACCURATE FARE, POLICY, OR ASSISTANT RESPONSE — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this limitation may not apply to you.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and, if you'd like, requesting account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these terms.
We may update these terms as the Service changes. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent your local law does not otherwise require a different governing law.
